We Finished

Welcome to Beaverworks Mint

Whatever It Takes

We Gave Our Word.

Welcome back to Beaverworks Mint. It has taken over 18000 hours for us to build our own mint from scratch. With the help of financial backers and some truly outstanding people, we have at long last finished our studio production space, purchased and set up a brand new calibrated coining press and minting system. We are located in Western Canada, based outside of Edmonton, Alberta in an undisclosed location and aim to offer world class minting services and fine silver and gold bullion round coins dedicated to the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Our first coin we issued and in the process, set the global standard in minting quality as up until that point, no coin in history was ever minted up to our specs.

We are in the final stages of this very complex and costly start up cycle and we will resume fabrication and shipment of our silver and gold issues shortly. If you have any need for custom, world class minting, please feel free to contact us by email.

Seeing this picture, made it worth it. Thank you Colonel.

Beaverworks Mint produces, world class, fine bullion round medallion coins comprised of precious metals with a purity of 99.99% sourced from the Royal Canadian Mint refineries. We have nearly all the tooling located under a single roof to take a concept design and turn it into a true work of art. Beaverworks Mint is lead by Canadian Artist Joseph Green B.FA and has spent in excess of 18000 hours over the last 5 years that it has taken to acquire all the expertise, tooling and facilities neccessary in order to bypass any reliance upon any other group in order to mint fine works of art in the medium of precious metals. Recently, Beaverworks was recognised by the Royal Canadian Air Force with the first prototype coin of our forthcoming issue of the RCAF Silver Maple, by having serial number 1 presented to the Commanding General of the Royal Canadian Air Force, Lieutenant General Eric Kenny at an event hosted in Calgary. We are in the final stages of coating our hardened steel coining dies to ensure a proof-quality finish with this issue. Once we are “Good to Go”, then nearly every aspect of this coin, will be fabricated in our studios located outside of Edmonton at our facilities.

March 2024, the Commanding General of the Royal Canadian Air Force LGen Eric Kenny is presented with serial number 1 of the prototype 12 of the RCAF Silver Maple coin by former 4 Wing Commander Col Jim Donihee callsign: MuskOx. In case you are wondering, we are not allowed to show the picture of the Commanding General on our website.

The Silver Maple

Our Process Work

Here are images of the first prototype Silver Maples we have produced dedicated to the RCAF. We have since changed the dies and finalised the overall design but we thought you all would like to see some images and explanation into our process work. These were struck with dies that were not plated as we were in the process of learning all about what type of material is best for coating dies. What you see here is the prototype Silver Maple coin we struck with dies that have not had the top plated surface applied to it. We had to rush out the first 12 coins and we had to strike these without the top plated surface that is applied to it which results in proof quality surfaces. This coin features 100 tiny maple leaves around the edge outside of the ring of 100 tiny squares, both of which symbolise the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Canadian Air Force. This marks the first successful strike on dies we made, heat treated, sculpted, then laser engraved. The last process still has to be completed, but we are exceptionally proud of this work as it marks the first time we used our  completed dies on our brand new calibrated minting system.

To learn more about this process, here is a link to the page that goes into an explanation of the 3d modelling process.

The Silver Maple replaces the Century Coin.

The first 12 prototype RCAF Silver Maples. These were struck with an unplated top surface due to time constraints and marks the first time we struck a finished silver coin with our new minting system. Once we are able to have our dies properly plated with a chrome surface, they will yield a flawless surface finish.
AM2

A Small Piece of History

Allowing Canadians to lovingly hold the Arrow.

During our minting system pipeline testing procedures, we thought it would be interesting to see if we could take metal we have which was provided to us, which originated from the AVRO Arrow program and make a small minting run of only 50 coins. This metal was in exceptionally poor shape and we thought as a way to honour the Arrow, those who built her and those who were going to fly her, we could make these coins available for sale immediately to assist us in generating the funding required for us to continue to purchase more specialised, calibrated and expensive minting tools. Each coin comes in a unique display and those fortunate collectors who purchase one, may have their last name engraved along side their serial number.

Price: $799.99 CDN + Shipping/Handling. GST included. Payment through etransfer only.

TOLD 1 TROY OZ OF .9999 FINE SILVER AT A TIME

We have finished building our new minting system! We are finally able to overhaul our website after a dedicated 5 year and 18000 hour investment of time to build our own minting system.

Welcome back!

We are slowly and methodically going through each of the back orders and processing each one and we aim to ship out all remaining oustanding orders from our amazingly patient collectors ideally before we commence with the Centennial Silver Maples. As you can imagine, this is a massive undertaking for a single individual to embark on, but we are getting there. The heavy lifting is finished, finally! Now we can focus on getting back to work on producing the most stunning coins possible. We have lots to learn as it is an endless process of perpetually refining and enhancing our skillset. We look forward to serving you all here in late 2024 and into 2025 and the years beyond.
