Gold Plated Silver Arrow

Test pilot edition

Over the course of making and remaking our dies — sometimes due to ultra-fine flaws invisible to the untrained eye — we continued enhancing the sculpt of the Arrow. Each revision pushed the detail further, until even the canopy windows, individual actuators, and surface paneling on the aircraft’s upper fuselage were crisply defined. We can’t overstate how much time and care went into this sculpt.

Our current Arrow coin features selective gold plating on the maple leaf laurels and a printed overlay for the Arrow’s iconic white fuselage. However, due to the density of white ink, many of those hard-won surface details get obscured. To properly showcase them — and to honour the test pilots of the Arrow — we knew we needed to find a new, special way to present the full depth of the design.

As many collectors will appreciate, we take exceptional pride in our packaging. Because we have full in-house production capabilities, we wanted to do something truly over the top for this release. Not only is each coin individually serialized, but each coin slab is also custom printed with its matching serial number — a detail made possible by our complete control over the process.

The response has already been remarkable. One of our longtime collectors contacted us less than a minute after we posted preview images of this all–gold-plated concept dedicated to the test pilots, and secured serial number 206 for himself.

In the months since sharing this design, we’ve been steadily advancing every aspect of what it takes to bring a mint to life — from refining production systems to completing this website — all in preparation for launch.

Once the website is fully complete and we are ready to launch, collectors will be able to purchase one of these coins for immediate shipping. Each coin will be priced at $206.00 CAD plus shipping and handling.

What truly drives us is offering collectors something special — the ability to say, “I own RL-322. Check out this packaging!” That personal connection to a uniquely serialized piece of Canadian history is what we strive to deliver. As soon as this coin is added to our catalogue and we open up ordering, we’ll be ready to go.

Until then, please know we are working tirelessly, around the clock, to bring every element of this mint into full operation. We’re not just selling pre-made coins or packaging — we are making each coin from scratch, plating them in-house, individually serializing each one, printing custom display slabs, assembling packaging, and handling all fulfillment ourselves.

As a small, independent Canadian mint, we take immense pride in our craft and our mission: to honour our national culture and preserve the legacy of the Arrow — a symbol of how Canada once led the world in military aerospace innovation.
