The Second 5oz Silver Command Maple

As a gesture of deep appreciation, we recently had the honour of presenting the second 5oz Silver Command Maple to Frank Rathmann, owner of Latmann Generators and Equipment. Frank has stood by us for years, quietly supporting our journey as we built Beaverworks Mint from the ground up. His steadfast encouragement and trust made a meaningful difference in helping us realize our vision.

Frank was also the first person to ever receive the prototype of the Silver Maple — a piece that represents both craftsmanship and national pride. With this recent presentation, he now holds a truly rare distinction: he is the only other person in the world, aside from the recipient of the first official piece, to own a 5oz Silver Maple bearing the Command Crest of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

The sister coin to Frank’s was presented to Canadian astronaut Colonel Joshua Kutryk — a proud moment that symbolically ties together service, vision, and legacy. We’re grateful to be able to share this journey with individuals like Frank who understand the meaning behind the metal.
