The Copper Maple

We recently dialed in our method and systems and are finalising the design. Pending the contract extension we have been in negotiations with now for two years, we aim to begin offering the RCAF Copper Maple and Command Maple in any volume and issued in 1 Troy oz and NOT AVDP oz.

A troy ounce is exactly 1.09714 ounces avoirdupois or about 9.7% more.

We believe in setting and maintaining the standard. Until we dial in our refining system this year, we will be limited to .999 purity in fine copper. We are only now beginning our venture into the wonderful world of copper and many people have asked us to look into it and so, here are some preliminary prototypes of copper coins we made as part of an extended family gift to acknowledge the recent 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Zirka Ukrainian Dance Troop based in Calmar, Alberta. We will soon finalise the designs and issue standard Maple Copper with either the RCAF based theme or something else and we will issue the Alberta Wildrose in copper. We are working out the final details for packaging and most likely we will simply ship it in a capsule and padded envelope. If you wanted to purchase upgraded packaging nearly identical to the Silver Wildrose coin display slab, that will be a premium packaging upgrade for a fee.

We are also debating if we will be engraving serial numbers on them, and if there will be a limit to how many we serialise or if we always serialise them, however at least the first 100 will be.

You can pre-order as many as you like beginning now and in the order notes, please inform us what you would prefer, a copper maple with the maple leaf on the obverse and Canadian Aircraft theme  or something else on the reverse  side, or you may select the Alberta Wildrose Copper and will ensure you receive the lowest serial number possible outside of ongoing, mint requirements to hold back certain first issues for VIP backers. Once we finish the dies for the Wildrose, we will begin production and update the website with photos. We respect that if you pre-purchased coins, sight unseen, finished dies unseen, well that’s seriously epic and we will make absolutely sure you will be happy as for those people who do purchase in this state, we may consider a special edge engraving for you.
